Hello and welcome! My name is Christina Reed and I’m the creator of BlueKittyCool. I’m a photo-blogger and (amateur) freelance photographer in New Orleans, La. I live with my fiancé William, son Aaron, and I have a daughter named Autumn who has successfully left the nest.
What I do: I’m passionate about bringing national awareness to the people who make a positive impact on New Orleans, with a particular focus on local artist and charity events. I spend a considerable amount of time contemplating what and who gets featured on BlueKittyCool, but have rarely considered monetizing it. When I say this aloud, most people give me a puzzled look, and frankly, I don’t blame them. If it doesn’t make dollars it doesn’t make sense. Right? Not always.
William James wrote, “The greatest use of a life is to spend it for something that will outlast it”, which eloquently sums up my feelings in relation to this pursuit. I do this because, people matter. Moments matter. And once they are gone, no amount of money can ever bring them back.
Finding that rare moment, when a person’s happiness is derived solely from the act of making someone else feel happy, is what I strive to capture for you.
